PTFA - Hoot!

Who are we?

Milton Abbot PTFA is a small group of parents who established a new PTFA following Covid-19. Our aim is to provide a platform for parents, friends, and staff to communicate with one another and become more involved in school life. Over the past few years, we have been dedicated to increasing the profile of the school and enhancing provision for its students.

As a group, we meet once every half term to discuss upcoming fundraising activities and how best to allocate the funds we have raised. All of our efforts are focused on enhancing and enriching the experience of young people at Milton Abbot School.

What we do

The PTFA raises money in a wide variety of ways, from student-focused events to craft nights and quiz evenings for parents, grandparents, and friends. The majority of the funds raised go towards supporting students who receive Free School Meals, as well as helping to subsidise the cost of trips, including tickets and coach travel.

We also run a second-hand uniform shop, which is available for all parents to use, and organise regular Bags2School collections for anyone who enjoys having a clear-out at home.

What we need

As a group we are always looking for new members and volunteers to help when undertaking fund raising events. Everyone is welcome to attend our meetings, and we always appreciate new ideas.
